So i got this tiger tail over the weekend.
The shipping took longer than expected and it was in route for about 24 hours.
Anyway after acclimating for a few hours it was in the tank. This is Saturday around 2pm or so.
I think one of the fish was darting back and forth and some how knocked a rock over from the top and it fell on the cucumber.
I didnt actually see this, just saw the rock on top of the cucumber and know that rock was on top previously.
Anyway there did not appear to be any damage then but i moved the rock anyway.
Monday mid afternoon around 3:00pm the cucumber expelled its guts in the tank. I have been reading all over and i read that tiger tails are not as toxic as other cucmbers? Again reading around these days means going to google and coming up to other forums/posts.
anyway when i came home i did a water change to be safe. 35gals out of my 150 Tank, with freshly made 35 gals back in.
The cucumber was skinny obviously but alive so i left it in.
Today, tuesday it is moving around but i notice it looks like it is literally split open in places like it was cut down most of its body.
Also there are still white globs or chucks showing on him. It sorta looks like you can see into him through his cuts.

Any ideas here? It is leaving white crap wherever it touches.

You should remove the sea cucumber - the sticky substance (holothurin) is toxic to other animals. I would also recommend water changes and activated carbon to help remove the toxin.

Will the cucumber survive? I dont want to discard him, he is alive and moving.
