Hello I wanted to know where online is the best place to purchase tigger pods or copepods. I want to put them in my DT and let them start to populate in the tank. I have a 30gal and a 75gal so how many would I need to start. Thanks

Trigger pods are a type of copepod. There is also tibse and I would recommend adding both because they act different and look different. It gives some variety to the fish that eat them. Tigger pods are bigger and red and they tend to swim in the water colum more. Tibse pods are much smaller and Rhys hang around the rock work and the sand.
The more you add, the better seeded your tank will be, and when you do add them make sure to turn your protein skimmer off for at least 15 minutes so they don't get sucked up. Also, try to add them at night
Hope this helps :)

Thank you for the info. Also can I add both kind at the same time or should I wait and do one at a time like with in a week apart.

You can add both at the same time.
A good place to get them is algaebarn.com
You can also by phytoplankton for them and phytoplankton is what pods like to eat the most and it will help your population grow really fast

Ok cool. Thank you. I woke up to a disaster this morning. My 30gal tank split at the seam and 3/4 of the water was on my living room floor I had to transfer everything to my 75gal tank. I posted it on my 75gal thread about what happen this morning. Way to start the day

That sucks!!!!!!!!!:mad::(:mad::(
I am so sorry. Did you loose anything or did all your inhabitants make it?

Everything made it which I was happy about and also the wife was so that's good. She loved her little tank in the living room so now I am going to get a new one and set up one for her again and I'll keep the live stock from the old tank in my 75gal

Also I had 2 pairs of clown fish one pair in each tank and now all 4 are in the 75gal and 2 of them one from each tank are going at it trying to lock lips

Hope you got the livestock out on time.

Get a acclimation box to put the pair from the 30 in there, if not bad things will happen!!

Yea that's what I was thinking of doing. I have to get a new one that's bigger for the both of them. The one I have now is small and the lip to hang it cracked. I'll be heading to the store as soon as they open. And yes I got all the live stock out with no deaths.

You can use a critter box from petco/petsmart for $5, make some holes in there with a hot nail that you heat over the stove and keep it on your glass with your magnet.
