Tightening large schedule 80 bulkheads

Any advice on how to tighten a 2” Sch80 bulkhead?

The round lock-nut, compared to the 6-sided lock-nut of ABS bulkhead, is a little harder to tighten. I was thinking I’d try a larger diameter vice grip or an oil filter wrench.

An oil filter wrench with the teeth covered with electrical tape worked great and without carving into the fitting.

Strap wrench. Cheap and versatile.

I'll happily second a good strap wrench. I work in a boiler room, 4" PVC fittings on the water softeners. Unless you want to snap plastic, strap wrench is the way to go.
