Tilefish and Firefish Compatibility?

Will a firefish and tilefish be okay together??? Only other inhabitants are 2 clowns.

Also! Do you need a thick sand bed for the Red Stripe Tilefish? I have several tanks, but the one I want to put him in has a very thin sandbed. If thats an issue, he can be put in a tank with a very thick sandbed tho.
