Tiles in sump?

I need to raise up my clarisea and skimmer in the sump. I know clown fish breeders will use tiles and I have some already. Would they be safe to use in the sump of a reef tank?

Yeah, just use some egg crate, and scrap PVC.

I would do eggcrate or fashion something with PVC pipe and fittings, its so cheap.
