My 90 gallon tank just finished cycling. It has an over sized skimmer. Plenty of flow and light for anything and a 20 gallon fuge. My temp is at 80. My water shows 0 nitrite and 0 ammonia with nitrates around 20 ppm. I did a 20 gallon water change with 0 change in nitrates. I used all ro/di water. So my questions are can I add a fish a little cuc and a soft coral or 2? My cuc would be probably hermits and snails for now my fish either a 6 line wrasse or fire fish. For nitrates should I do a bigger watter change? Also my ammonia has been at 0 now for 2 days. Would the ammonia bacteria start dying already?

So I just added 4 hermit crabs yesterday. I was told to wait on snails because I didn't have much algae build up. Also was told to wait on a fish because with 60 of the 95 lbs of live rock being purple dry rock the lfs thinks I will have a 2nd cycle.

So I decided to wait to start coral for a few weeks or so. And since I don't see a need for snails I don't mind waiting. Do you guys think I can add a fish or will a 2nd cycle kill them.its only been 9 days since starting with a little less than 2/3 dry rock

How did you cycle the tank? How high did the ammonia get? I'm more interested in this to determine if enough ammonia was introduced to the tank.

I would ghost feed for at least a week to see if the ammonia spikes back up.
