Time for a clean up crew?

Hey everyone,

I have been running my aquarium for about 4.5 months now and have 2 clowns, a fire fish, and 2 cardinals.

I’ve been having quite a bit of algae growing on my glass and rock work. I also am seeing some bubbles on my sand. Should I start getting some clean up crew guys in there? If so what would be good to start with?

Yep, go for it! Some hermit crabs and snails will get your tank looking spiffy in no time. Trochus, Turbo, and Nassarius snails are some of the most common snails for general algae management.

A small conch will keep that sand looking good and a combo of cerith, astraea, trocus, nassarius, nerite and small hermits will keep the rocks and glass clean

If you maintain stable water chemistry, those things go away on their own in combination with a few snails
