Ok Peeps I am going to shopping for a new test kit/kits...what is everyones favorite and why? the people here are way smarter than the LFS guy.....

Sailfret are pretty consistent.
Red Sea Pro for Ca. Mg and nitrates
Hanna for Alk, phosphates
I am waiting to try out some new test kits for AquaForest

So to some it up, I am finding that a mix of kits is best to have to double check if something looks funny when testing. I have be having issues with RS alk tests and the phosphates test reading low.

I like my salifert kits. Easy to read and quick testing. Wouldn't mind a Hanna for phosphate though is I hear they're a bit more accurate for lower readings. Plus digital. Who doesn't like digital readouts? Lol
I agree, the checkers are pretty cool.

I like Red Sea Pro for nitrate.

Salifert or Red Sea Pro for alkalinity. For approximate results API is ok.

Salifert for magnesium.

Red Sea Pro for calcium. API works for calcium also.

For phosphates, the Hanna ultra low range is the way to go.

This might not be the right place but I have 2 hanna phosphate going to be getting rid of 1

So it seems a few people like to mix and match brands for different tests... Maybe I should of asked what test kit for what element...Lol

Hannah for phos
Hannah for alk
Red sea for calcium
Red sea for Mg
Red sea for nitrates
Didgital dip probe for pH
