Hey all....
So after only a short time back in the hobby. It's time to step up....but I need some thoughts from other people.

I am going with Planet Aquarium. My LFS carries them and is going to be giving me a discount....not sure how much....but it all helps.

However, I can't decide on dimensions. I have space to work with.....around 13'ish feet in width on a polished concrete floor.

Sizes I'm thinking:

72.5 x 30.5 x 30 -- 280 gallons

84.5 x 30.5 x 25 -- 270 gallons

96.5 x 30.5 x 25 -- 310 gallons

Anything above that in size and the price increases drastically....I'm assuming partly because of the PVC bottom (but I don't know)

The 72.5" kind of makes the underneath cabinet small in terms of sump size, equipment, etc.

Is there anything else that I am missing between these sizes?

Thanks.....

Go with the biggest you can reasonably afford :upside-down-face: the single biggest expense in this hobby is the "upgrade factor" and not getting the stuff you want the first time ;)

Thanks for all the help and great advice.

Are there any downfalls to shorter tanks in terms is length?

Thanks,

-n

I have a 300, 96 inch in length and the tangs love it compared to the 72 inch tank they were in before I upgraded. I also noticed the little issues they used to fight about are gone...
