I've had my 14k phoenix for 9 months and it's about time for new bulbs. I'm 95% sure that I'm getting another set of the14k phoenix but I want to keep my options open. Are there any new bulbs out that are better than the 250watt phoenix 14k de bulb for par and color. I'm using icecap ballast.

I have seen alot of pics of tanks with Reefflux 12k's and they have been killer. They bring out color much more on blue corals than I have seen with other bulbs.

IMO DE 14K Phoenix hands down is the way to go for zoanthids. SE Reeflux 12K and 10k is best for SPS. I've heard the DE Reeflux bulbs are not very good and have a pinkish hue.

I agree completely. I love my phoenix 14k's. Hands down IMO the color is the nicest. Was just checking for reviews on anything new.

Pricing aside, those are my fave MH brand, followed by Ushio, then XM.
