so my t5 bulbs are about 7 months old now, I'm starting to get a big of cyano now and I'm thinking the bulbs might be causing it. Anyway I have a 8 bulb ati unit and was wondering what you guys would recommend bulb wise, I have mainly lps and some sps.
Thanks in advance

7 months and you blame cyano on the bulbs
You can change them but pretty sure it's not the problem of your so called cyano/spirulina.
I run all Giesemanns and changing them every 6 months.

I can't figure it out and I was on a thread and ati said that old bulbs could cause cyano?

I'm certain the bulbs are not causing the bacterial bloom but I get amazing growth from ati actinic bulbs. 4b+ 1act and one pp in my fixture.

Mine are about a year old maybe more like 1.5 in one fixture and no cyano. Theres only some GHA on a frag rack which my CUC refuses to go on for some reason, but rocks are clean.
