added my first live critters! 10 hermits. Got live rock as well and it came with some really nice freebies! Amazing amount of coraline algae as well. To my knowledge these freebies look like green star polyps, some type of tube worm maybe, some type of sponge?, and some zoas. If I'm wrong let me know please!

the polyps are very happy today. Changed the location of the flow and this is their first day on my light schedule.

Here are the zoas. They're much happier as well. They have been open all day. I even found a new little zoa underneath some of my dead rock. They're spreading already. Water params are showing I am fully cycled now!

My only blue leg hermit. He's probably my favorite one in the tank. I even witnessed my biggest hermit switching back and forth between two shells multiple times in a row. If these simple inverts are this fun I have no clue how much fun it will be to watch actual fish and shrimp

Just received word that my two black snowflake clowns are in stock and I can pick them up tomorrow morning! I am so excited. Doing a big water change tonight and making sure all parameters are ready for the little guys.

Better picture of the clowns. Waiting on the gf to name them I refused for one to be nemo because I will not be cliche haha.

this is after 30+ pics because they won't sit still. I thought it would be too much flow for the little guys but they love it. They keep riding the powerheads all the way across the tank.

Anyone had luck feeding zoas? I blew some of the frozen food I have for my fish and inverts over my zoas and they immediately grabbed. It and closed up like this

it's not their normal closing because they are unhappy, it's like they're bringing the food to their mouth like other corals. making sure this is normal.

My first algae bloom. Don't know what it's from honestly. I'm using pure rodi water for everything and not overfeeding. Notice in the picture half of my gsps won't come out anymore. What are your opinions on this and what should I plan as far as a course of action? My tank is still new so maybe this is normal and will correct itsself? Any and all help is appreciated as always

Looks to be Just part of cycle and feeding a new tank.

Did you acid wash your rocks?
Possible leaching phosphates too.

Run a little GFO.

Will do. I was also thinking my rocks might have some phos. I did not acid wash them.
