I'm looking for a good light schedule I'm new to programming lights my light runs on a 24hr cycle and would love to see what other people have done.

60 cube 24x24
reef radiance 165 watt dm-175+
no coral or fish still in cycle prossess

Thanks for reading

No lights during cycle, but eventually you want to mimic the sun in the tropics.

12 hr days.

Short sunrise/sunset.

:)

Compare these charts of mid-USA (37ºN) vs the equator (0ºN)...I included July 4th and Christmas to show the two extremes (and lack of extremes):

And you should definitely use a [HASHTAG]#lux[/HASHTAG] [HASHTAG]#meter[/HASHTAG] for your lighting setup to get intensity right.

You can get a $free app for your smartphone camera (a good start) but a handheld meter from ebay or amazon will only run you $15. (Check out those tags.)
