Time spent on Reef2Reef

I’m hooked !

When I first became a member, I faithfully logged in during the morning and again during the evening.

To be honest, I don't log in nearly as much.

It seems like nothing new or exciting is happening in the hobby. Its always the same old posts.

Not as much now because I see so much mis information. It's getting to be no better then FB. I also dislike all the contests and give ways. I get it free stuff and revenue. But I'd rather have a place that actual polices and corrects info vs what this has turned into. Just saying.
We obviously need more pedantic subject experts on this thread! Know I am not shirking my duties. The “yellow coris wrasse” will be wiped from history!!

What part of your day is spent on reef2Reef?
is it the first part of your day, Lunch time, after work or every chance you get?

What is your favorite part of browsing this site and what part of this site do you feel is most overlooked?

My favorite is perhaps viewing the many member tank updates and builds. Most overlooked is marketplace and the many contests offered by this great site.

Too much of my day is spent here. But I enjoy it.

Favorite thing is seeing new reefers make the switch from freshwater.

I also love that BS is not tolerated here. Either that, or people just seem happier than in other places in the internet world. Facebook, nextdoor, X, etc is all politics, name calling, bullying, and negativity. I come here to escape all that so thank you to the people that stay focused and positive.

reefing was so much harder to learn quick back in the ol days
You was reliant on your product shovelling lfs
I mean, the money I’ve saved being here is more spent on the good stuff
You get ma drift

There was a time when I'd spend hours on various reef forums daily, but now, especially since having our son that time is significantly reduced. Now I am just able to pop in and share knowledge when I get a little down time

It is the common terminology. You should just accept that and move on .......

To getting the Christmas wrasse fixed.

Sorry I had to

I spend a bunch of my free time here right now.

The best part is finding the snarky folks and having conversations with them. Sometimes I'm multiple threads at the same time

I don't know but if Rev is doing any roll call, I think I got a Perfect Attendance award since I joined 2yrs ago? I suck at everything else though...

Oh! Can we PLEASE talk about politics?! Please?! Ugh. I hate politics. Yep.....part of it is that there are rules here and, really, the vast majority abide (as The Dude Abides!). As a group, I've always noted that we are friendly and helpful. This forum is just for that, and of course meeting people and maintaining friendships. It's a cool thing.

Im on here most mornings before work and then all the time during work cause I just sit at a computer all day anyways :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing::face-with-spiral-eyes:

Oh, I would be SO busted if I got onto R2R with a State computer. Big Brother is watching for us. I remember looking up a medication interaction on the Web itself (as I wanted something along the lines of an article to back my claims with a prescriber) when a completely INAPPROPRIATE picture loaded up. I had to back out quickly and call I.T. to explain proactively. The internet can be frustrating at times!

That sounds awful! I work at a private business so Im just on the owners desktops which means I can browse R2R with little worries

I just went back to my old career at the nuke, so my time here will be less. But I should still be online a couple times a day for the most part.

Nuke? Were you retired?
Nuclear power plant. No, quite the opposite. I have 18 years to retirement yet. I went to the coal plant for a few years to try to escape my destiny, but they are closing it in 8 years. So I went back to the nuke to hopefully have a place to retire from. I left because I’m a modest guy and don’t like being an expert on things. People tend to have certain expectations. I’m a specialty mechanic and have the knowledge and qualifications to work on antiquated equipment.
