Time to add CUC to nano reef?

It's been cycling since 4/1. I bought live rock, live sand, dry rock, and salt water from LFS.
Parameters haven't changed except for nitrate went from 0 to 5. Current parameters
PH 8
Ammonia 0.50
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 5.0

Algae has bloomed and is getting larger by the hour.

idk what the corals are that came with the live rock but they survived and one split off and refooted. Also a tiny feather duster popped out and seems to be doing well. Decent colony of bristle worms in the live rock with the corals too.

Am I safe to add some crabs and snails to feast on the algae?

I don't see any problems adding a few snails and maybe a scarlet hermit crab. See how they do for a few weeks and go from there.
A routine is key, but do this slowly. GL.

Thx, that's what I'm going for. No plans on fish or coral yet.

Ok I typically recommend adding a fish first. Then after a few days add a few snails, and maybe 1 or 2 hermits

Chromis and mollies are my go to for adding a little bioload.

Go for it! Couple hermits and a couple Snails to start imo love blue legs and Nassarius snails

For me, I wait till I see algae, thats my sign thats it time for minimal CUC. If my CUC lives for a week, then its time for my first fish (and more CUC). If my first fish is alive a month later, its time for my second fish, and so on... Build your tank slowly.
