Be sure to get the correct kind of super glue. Has to contain Cyanoacrylate. Not the other "R" chemical. Either that or use reef glue that is about 4x the price.
Supposedly leathers give off a toxin when fragged. Try to remove piece if possible.
I have a leather I want to frag but can't get it out of the tank. I don't know if coral near by will be hurt if I start snipping away.
I'm not sure about technical cutting but if you cut the stalk too, you could probably get like 8 ish![]()
Good deal!! I need to frag this guy off because he is starting to use Palys as tambourines when rockin with the wave maker lol. I wonder how many frags I can get...
Thanks 34 for posting, haha I may frag today too!
I just glued a mushroom to a frag plug and it held just fine, I would try both if your having issues, even if they slime a little it may still hold enough to temporarily secure them. Not sure you know but once you have it glued dip it in the tank or a cup of salt water and that will help the super glue start drying quicker.
New ones will grow but I wouldn't cut all of them offYeah, the stalks on my leather are like an inch and a half thick too they would look kind of stupid with no branches ,or will new ones grow off the stalk?

3 stuck 2 didn't so I put them in there. Always good to have options lolI just glued a mushroom to a frag plug and it held just fine, I would try both if your having issues, even if they slime a little it may still hold enough to temporarily secure them.
