I agree. I have also been eyeing the new TLF Accurasea salt but I am waiting on some reviews before I try it myself.

Honestly, what I'd recommend is taking a look at this website. They have ICP tested all of the salts, and it's much better to find a salt that works with the parameters you're looking for rather than relying on hearsay. Scientific data > results. Any of the salts will produce great results. It's a matter of what works for you!

I've been using the LiveAquaria salt for about two months now. Switched from Red Sea. So far, I'm happy with it. Mixes clean. I've read that it may well be produced by Fritz and just repackaged. It's been a while since I looked, but I believe the parameters are essentially if not completely identical. And it sells at a good price.

Honestly, if you are only doing 10% a week since the 7th, I would not blame RSCP. The tank is still adjusting from the salt you were using previously, as it is a percentage game.

I was using natural sea water... but I understand what your saying... might just stick with it then and hopefully things settle in...

I definitely wouldn't blame the salt at this point. You need to be testing the freshly mixed salt before doing a water change. That will give you much more information on whether or not the salt is an issue than just testing the tank, especially with the extra dosing you are doing.

I use regular old instant ocean in my 220g. I buffer it up to the exact parameters I want. Cheap and easy.

I use regular IO. I've used it for about 25 years, never seen a reason to change.

I really don't think it matters much which salt mix is used.

Follow the advice on picking a salt that falls in line with what levels you desire for your reef. FWIW, my experience with RSCP was really good with it mixing true to what they advertise. I'd give it some time.
I would keep an eye on what is going on with your mag. B-Ionic has mag within the two part. Once you get mag to where you want it there should be no need to dose Mag if you are using B-Ionic....especially not at the rate you are if you are actually dosing 26ml twice a week. I have run heavy Sps systems where I didn't dose mag for up to a year as the B-Ionic 2 part took care of the demand. If your post about the mag is correct, then you are almost dosing as much mag as your are part 1/2. Your mag should be depleting wayyyyyy slower than Alk/Calc. Just wanted to bring that to your attention so you don't accidentally over do it with Mag and run into problems.

Have Had great luck with Aquaforest and Seachem Salinity brands but very hard to find as of late.

Fritz Pro seems to be up and coming. I will always after 30+ years in hobby like both Reef Crystals and Red Sea Coral Reef Pro

I'd still keep an eye on it as something seems off though as the B-Ionic should more than keep up with your Mag demand.

Yeah... I think once I have the B-Ionic dialed into where I want it things will fall into place... Need to take others advice and test water after I mix... Its just weird to me that mag got down to 1000s after a day or so of doing a 20 gallon water change... hand dosing the 27g twice a week is keeping levels at an okay level for now... I appreciate the input everyone

Im using salifert tests... I have the Hanna checkers as well, but need new reagents for them... would like to get multiple results... Im dosing the B-Ionic calcium at night before lights out and Alkalinity at 4AM...
