So, Saturday marks day 76 for my tank being without fish. It is time to move my fish from QT to the DT. They have all gone through 4 (actually 5) weeks of copper treatment. Here is my question: My QT is in the basement and my DT is not. What is the best way to transfer the fish?

THANKS!

I would just put them in a bucket to take them upstairs and make sure temp and salinity match perfectly to your dt, then just put them in

I agree with @Mjrenz. I would also just take the bucket to the display tank and acclimate them there.

Just be careful not to get any QT water into your DT. More so if you have not placed anything in the QT tank to absorb the copper before you transfer.

I would before transfer set them through 2 rounds of General Cure for fluke or other parasites .Also try and get the 6 week sweet spot of QT .After doing my QT regiment of two rounds of General Cure and Copper for 6 weeks, I have never had a fish loss due to disease again
.

Transfer went well! They are doing very well and I am happy to report there were no issues! :)
