Do they make a Timed off delay for a UV, In-Line Plug in? I just realized when I hit my Feed Buttons on my Return Pumps, I’m leaving the UV Running with no water flow. Looking for a Timed Off TD, for this. BTW, I know how to build one, just wondering if there is a ready made unit.

I have my UV on the same power feed as my skimmer, because the Neptune Apex turns the skimmer back on a few minutes after the return pump at the end of feed mode. No help if you don't have an Apex of course.

Apex = MacGyver for the rest of us... :face-with-tears-of-joy:

I made a DIY Time Delay Box, runs at a 10 minute off Cycle. Parts, ICM Delay on Break Timer. ICM203. #16 Extension Cord, 13 Amps, 125V, 3 Foot, Black. Junction Box ABS Plastic Dustproof Waterproof IP65 Universal Electrical Boxes Project Enclosure with Fixed Ear Black 3.94 x 2.68 x 1.97 inch (100 x 68 x 50 mm). DIYhz Momentary Push Button Switch, 1A 250VAC SPST Mini Pushbutton Switches Normal Closed(NC) Black & Red Cap - 20pcs. Fielect Round Cable Wire Strain Relief Bush Grommet Round Strain Relief Bushing Electric Cable Protection Cord Buckle 6N-4 15 Pcs. All from Amazon. If I had to do it all over again I’d get the Next size up Project Box. Wire Grommets had to be Drilled out, for Extension Cords, they were cut to allow five inches of Cable from Shoulder of the Female end. Soldered Wire onto Switch, using a Metal Hemostat to keep the heat off of the Switch internals.

I like the DIY one in the last post but, if you feed at consistent times of day, you could plug the UV into a cheap programmable timer and have it set to shut off for a timeblock around your feeding times,,, like OFF for 30 minutes as a bracket around each of your 10 minute feed times, for example.

I used this $12 one to run internal UV for 8 hours/night for ostreopsis dinos for a couple of months and it worked fine and is way more programmable than how I used it:

Programmable AC Timer

I have an Automatic Feeder that feeds, a Combination of Pellets and Flakes, four times a day. Found out the Fish eat more if the food is being blown around, plus they chase the food. When I feed Frozen Food, I turn the Pumps off, on their built in timers. I either forget to unplug the UV, or would forget to plug it back in. With the Frozen foods consistency, a lot would end up in the Sump, iF the pumps are left on. With 40 years of working with UV, something I observed about UV, is if the Lamps are working, they are clean, or the Quartz Tube is clean, along with nearby surfaces. So I run UV towards the smaller recommended end, 24 hours.
