I appreciate that...but I very much understand the intercities of coral. Been doing this for 25+ years...I've also kept more species then most people in the trade.Fairly safe to assume that is a maricultured colony. Maricultured versus captive aquacultured corals bring a very different level of potential mortality. Confirm how long it has been living in captivity. YMMV.
You should be fine then. Carry on. All good.I appreciate that...but I very much understand the intercities of coral. Been doing this for 25+ years...I've also kept more species then most people in the trade.

My apologies. With the limited post history I just assumed that the difference in mari vs aqua might be valuable information. My mistake. You should be fine then. Carry on. All good.

There is a chance I will...but figured Id ask here first.Sounds like you should just buy the coral then and find out what it looks like under “most lighting”.
I have never seen one that looks like this. Id love to grab a generic one that is similar.I do not.
Keep looking. Most of the fresh import speciosa look just like ones that people have gotten in and named in the past. Just find a generic one that looks similar.
Those just look so different from the photos. They look very nice, but they are blue and the photo is completely different in terms of color...but if they are same, then this answers my question that "most" lighting will not look the same as whatever lighting they have them under. These came from timeless on April 23

If I could feel confident that it would look like the photo on their site, I would gladly buy the colony.Just buy the whole colony. Treat yourself
I know you have 25 years experience and have kept most species that many hobbyists can’t…..and are familiar with coral intricacies (assuming that’s what you meant by “intercities”). But do you have any experience with speciosa? Even if it looked exactly like the photo, which it won’t bc that’s a custom edited blue light pic, it won’t look anything like that 3 months later. Just like @Scott b referring to. I have about 25 speciosa’s and the only thing that resembles what they looked like 6-12 months ago is their sizes. If I could feel confident that it would look like the photo on their site, I would gladly buy the colony.
