Is this a normal look for this wrasse? Only had him a week and he just came out of hiding 2 days ago and hasn't stayed out much. First good look I got today and his belly looks quite large. My foxface died Saturday night after this fish came out of hiding Saturday afternoon.

Mine can eat so much they look pretty distended. Sometimes it could be a blockage or some internal problem.

Do you know why the foxface died?

I don't. He has been in tank about 6 weeks and seemed to be doing just fine until emergence of the wrasse. I've professionally been told the timor wrasse are known to bring in parasites but cant confirm 100%

I wouldn't say a wrasse is anymore known to bring in parasites then any other fish. Maybe flukes or internal worms but all fish can have parasites.

Foxface are generally hardy. If you are adding fish without QT you could certainly have introduced a disease problem though I don't think it is related to that timor's belly.

The foxface was easily my favorite guy and most active and in 1 day he went south.. very quick! I bought a few fish from a store I don't know that well and the guy who set me up mentioned to only buy from dealers who QT their fish. He will be by tomorrow and will go from there

Foxfaces are very rarely killed by an external disease as they can shed their mucous layer.
Check the parameters as ammonia, nitrites and nitrates can spike and go undetected until they start killing off the species in the tank.
