I have the same one for my xp aqua ato.
Wait until it starts slurping water and not stopping....it will be the loudest little pump u ever did sawwwww

I mean its pretty quiet during operation. I just have mine rotated 90 degrees to get that last drop of water out of my reservoir so it starts gulping when its nearly empty.
