Tinola's Nano in 90 Build Off Competition Entry

Hey guys, What are some nice sps corals I can add to my tank? Something branching thatll grow pretty quickly. Green slimmer is out of the question though because it will grow out of hand once I move the contents of the tank into my 10 gallon.

So far, I'm thinking strawberry shortcake, M. Setosa and digi, GARF bonsai if I can find, etc. my plan is to fill the bottom with Zoas and palys and the top SPS.

Alot of Millipora grow pretty fast as well and gives a little different contrast to the tank with the PE. Hows the Tenuise doing did it start to color for you?

The tenuis is doing kinda bad since I accidentally bumped it. It was on the bottom of the tank on its side for a couple of days, so it's not doing so hot right now. I am really hoping for it to heal up and keep growing for me. I'll probably add a pink millipora soon. My LFS is selling nice sized frags(~2"+) for about $10.

Nothing new with the tank. The Tenuis is browned, however, I've been seeing polyp extension. So I guess the tenuis might make it.

Maybe it will color back up soon! Have you tested your phosphate levels?

Sadly, I don't have a phosphate tester. I have GFO in one of my AC filters, so my guess is that it's low, but not sure. I'll probably purchase a phosphate test kit sometime soon.

Like I said earlier, the tenuis is in bad condition since i left it on its side on the tank floor since I bumped it out of its frag and I had no glue. Before that, coloring was great.

Haha yeah dude. I got a really great deal on them. Comes out to $11 ish per frag. And the green monti cap is a little less than 6 square inches.

Sorry not yet, they're looking bad right now. I guess I shouldn't have hurried with SPS. My first SPS tenuis, RTN'd on me and it seems like the ORA Roscoes is doing the same thing as well

. I'll see what I can do. Maybe a massive WC will help.

I'll keep everyone updated.
Tomorrow I might add a new fish.

Added a tailspot blenny and an emerald crab. Both are super cute! No pictures still. I took some rocks out and transferred them to my 10 gallon. I might DQ myself out of the competition because I am close to transfer things to the new tank.

Also, one more thing, the reason why my SPS are suffering, my SG was at 1.030!!!! I lowered it to 1.027 and will lower it some more tomorrow. Jeez. I'm such a noob.

Whoah! That's some high salinity man, is the ATO working properly? I just got my Tunze and love the thing.

Did you get the tailspot and emerald from tunes?

I think there's something wrong with my ATO since the water needs to drop an inch or something until it reactivates again. I tried emailing avast long time ago but they haven't emailed back.

I got the two livestock from tunes. I love the emerald! I might get 1 or 2 more and have 3 in my 10 gallon. Probably too much lol.
