Tiny Ants in AIO container

I’m getting a bunch of tiny ants crawling into my ATO reservoir and suiciding themselves in it. Is there any way to prevent this or is there a major issue with this? They are super small and can fit though my Brute can. The black mass in the picture is a bunch of them lumped together

Where is your ato kept? If you've got ants in your ato I think your home may have a bigger issue

It’s in the cabinets. These are super tiny ants. I get them every summmer and the exterminator can’t get rid of them. They love bathrooms and suicide themselves into water. I think they are super ants, but they are black not red.

This last winter i had fire ants get in mine. It was in the garage and the light wasnt so good so i got a paper towel and scooprd them out, big mistake lol :mad:

Maybe put a tight lid on the container and only two small holes that are exactly large enough to only fit the ATO hose and power cable through.

Would a wrap of double stick tape on the outside of your container keep these out?

They are called grease ants and eat both grease and sugar. Any fats or sugars are there goals and need water also. Make up a sugar water and add just a drop of poison and put in corners.. use vinigar to break up here pathways they make with there oils so they don’t retrace or track back.
I was on here to find out a better way but seeing it’s the only way..
AGAIN remove food sources and they will fall as mine did but need to repeat almost weekly and daily with vin as they are rentless everyday.
I also used heavy poison around windows or pathways they can take but only outside or in a place you will not be touching or contaminating your tanks lifeline, vinigar wont poison if contimated. THINK LIKE A ANT
