Best way to deal with these? Been a long time since I encountered hydroids.

I cut them off with a razor, siphoned it out with a turkey baster and glued over it, but checking after I only could visually see one of them in the baster.

Do they spread fast? How bad are they? Info seems really bad on them

Not aiptasia IMO. Tentacles are missing the trademarked curvature and are the wrong shape

Two ways:
Starve them. They grab suspended food and favor brine shrimp. Aim water flow towards them, not at them and food will not reach them.
Other is gel superglue from the dollar store and place a dab on the tops of them and they will starve and disintegrate.
