tiny black/brown worms in sad bed

be careful, not all of the SP in that genus are completely reef safe. But I think like @vetteguy53081 say, Arrow crab is better bet against (read about the particular coral banded shrimp if you find any to buy)
okay, thanks! yeah so it was a bristle worm there was a big one under one of my rocks. I guess I just the babies where dying idk weird hopefully it all taken care of.

Try to keep all to work for you ;) I mean check regularly all specks as possible, water changes, clear the filter socks on time, don't overfeed and just make it to look good for you to can enjoy the hobby, not to be your work

thanks! while we're on the top of filter lol I've had one question so no you are supposed to replace your filter carbon monthly but how much for the housing or sock? Iknow if you do replace it you have to run the two filters together for quite a bit. I just wasnt sure how often you change them.

tobe honest with you, I'm not sure how much exactly is enough to keep working for a month, it depend from many factors, how much L or G of water you have. what are the specs of your water (how much toxins and other chemicals you have, which have to be attached to the activated carbon, depend do you have constantly source of toxins or chemicals or it's on periods etc ...
Sorry but I'm not sure who can answer this question until someone chemist know the molar mass of that chemicals and/or toxins, the mass of the carbon you put in and so on. usually for my one (near 450l) I put in about 250ml GAC (Granulated Activated Carbon), I do use another resin like media to absorb chemicals and toxins as well. The GAC I replace once per month or 2 and if something in the water don't look fine, the resin media I take it and recharge it and that's it.
Sorry can't give any advise, many people don't use it at all, some put too much (but never can hurt), the manufacturers are interested in you to replace it more often to buy more (which usually I don't do, because I recharge it by my self after I collect 2-3l of GAC, but isn't for everyone, it's a bit risky that action)
