Tiny brittlestars?

Hello,

Soon after getting this sponge rock I noticed some small protrusion from the hole in the middle of the sponge. Since there were dead barnacles around it, I thought the tiny things sticking out was from a remaining live barnacle. As time has gone on, it's definitely not. The original one is much bigger and there's the same things sticking out of a dead barnacle and I think another one has moved under one of my plating corals.

Looks like brittlestar legs now. What do you think?

Is that sponge alive? its cool.

Yes, it's alive. It's been slowly growing. It came from a rubble rock tank at the LFS. Lots of interesting things living in that tank. I also got what appeared to be some type of yellow sponge that same day but something in the tank decided it was food an it was nearly gone the next day. I was sad it was gone but it was rubble rock price not coral or sponge price.
