Tiny clay pots safe to use for alveopora?

I'm considering putting my alveoporas in some tiny clay pots. I saw some that are about 1"x1" at Michaels and thought they'd be cute for my frags. Do you think clay would be reef safe? Should I soak/clean it in something before considering?

If they are terracotta pots they should be fine, but I would soak them in RODI water for a night or two before adding to your system!

People use the little clay pots for breeding fish, should be no issue with the flowerpot corals in little flower pots.
