Does anyone know if I should be worried about these tiny flatworms? I took this video of them in my refugium with a copepod for size reference.

Video works for me. 8 legged, larger than surrounding organisms. Antenna flared. Clearly a parasite though can't tell species. What did you use to capture the video?

I used a Galaxy Note 10+ 5G zoomed all the way in. I turned off the pink fuge lights and was only using a CF cabinet light bulb.

Just a note...this video is of my fuge and there are NO corals kept in my refugium.

The pod you tracked is a munid isopod, not a parasite. But I think you already knew that it's just a beneficial pod, I just want to clear that up for anyone reading this. I see the flatworms you're talking about. Acoel flatworms maybe. Try to collect some and put it in a white bowl or something to get a nice photo of them.

I did it! It took many attempts to get some clear pics of these tiny guys, but I got a few decent cell phone shots and a pretty good video. Still haven't seen any of these in my display, just the fuge. I do have a Leopard Wrasse & a Mandarin Dragonette that could be keeping them in check. Any info on these flatworms would be appreciated.

Flat worms. I used to have them in my tanks and O know a lot of people that do too. In my experiences they are harmless and just an eye sore. They usually will just stay in your sump/refugium. Fresh water dip will get rid of any in corals. I tried flat worm exit before and it worked but came back so I gave up and let them just stay in the refuge. Just my experience and others may chime in on theres.

Thank you yOdaddy. Does anyone know the type of flatworm & what they are eating in my tank? The last video clip of them is pretty clear and I'm hoping is good enough for an I.D.

looks like red planeria flatworms to me, harmless but will spread rapidly, and treatment if you have a bunch will nuke your aquarium due to toxins.

If you have a mandarin dragonette and a wrasse, I don’t think you have to worry. It’s just food for them.
