My tank has only been running for about 6 weeks, but I did add some coralline boosting plates a couple of weeks ago. Last night, but especially today I noticed TINY green spots on some parts of the rock and seems to be growing very slowly. At first, I thought it was just some run-of-the-mill green algae, but the slow growth is confusing me. I thought it might be coralline but the color isn't red-ish. In the meantime, I'll go see if I can get a good picture of it but does anyone know what it could be through my description?

That's a normal part of a new tank. The green algae will cover areas of your rock exposed to light in time, which will then be replaced with coraline algae (although for fun, not all coraline algae is pink/purple ;). You will always have that green algae in some form or fashion somewhere in the tank, often in time growing a slight haze on your glass requiring you to scrape it.

Perfect! Just what I wanted to know, thanks. Here are some pictures I captured.

Sorry for the multiple pictures, I can't delete the extra ones though. Anyways, after looking at the pictures myself I noticed on the 2nd picture in the lower left side a tiny hue of pink. Maybe it's coralline!?
