I found this tiny jellyfish the other day and scooped it out of the tank right away. Not knowing exactly what a hydroid was this was my best guess. I've google hydroid images & R2R & I don't think it looks like a hydroid. These are the best photos I can get. Opinions?

A photo from the side will be more clear. FYI Jelly fish has a life stage looks just like hydroid. But hydroid don't release like jellyfish do. My knowledge in hydroid is pretty limited though. I only encountered jelly fish in my tank before.

Best I can do from the side too tiny & moving!

I've been watching it for 2 days (in a cup) & have never seen it swim upside down??

I think it might be too early to determine what kind of jellyfish that is. I thought it was upside down because they swim to the bottom. But it could very well because of the flow there now I think about it. Not a jelly expert at all.

Stumbled across this thread looking for an ID for exactly the same thing in my tank—although your photos are far better than anything I got!

I see one or two now and then. Seem harmless.

I found 3 more today. Im going to take the tp LFS tomorrow. Let me know if you find anything out. I have not seen harm from the few I’ve found.
