Tiny little bugs in filter sock.

I noticed these tiny red bugs in my filter sock today. Can anyone ID them?

Pods getting trapped in my filter socks was why I stopped using them.

Eventually I want to stop using them. But right now I am still getting a bit of sand dust and they help to filter it out. .... Dan turbo snails are borrowing and kicking up all sorts of dust
