Hi all,
Yesterday I received some live rock and together with some zoas and another coral I don't know, I found a tiny (2 cm) mantis shrimp.
For now its all white so I guess its a juvenile. Unfortunately I did not think to take some close pics before setting it free in a nano tank (4 gallons) I use for some random hitchhikers I cannot keep in my dt.
For now its only LR with some airline and airstones. I am feeding some bits of mussels the size of the shrimp. Is this ok?
I hope it will come out in the open so I can ID it.

Try to set up separate tank for it
They eat shrimp, snails, mollusks and anything shelled

Frozen from the grocery its fine I guess?
In terms of quantity is good the same size as their body?
Small snails and mollusks and raw- uncooked shrimp
Keep small in size

The foods everyone else suggested just in very small pieces so they don’t sit and rot in the tank… also if you set up a 10g with some sand and a few rocks once you find him again, you would probably see him more often! If they don’t feel safe from predators in their home, they won’t come out much
