Tiny mushroom frag dying

Okay, Thank you for letting me know, I just bought an aquaforest phosphate test kit so I think I’ll get the nitrate one then and save up for the others from each paycheck :) thanks again!
i would get the alk 1 as its 1 of the most important params too keep stable to keep coral happy

Took a better pic after work, does this look like bleaching?

I just bought a Hanna for my QT tank to check copper, and minus a couple of bumps in the road I really like It so will definitely consider buying one for ammonia tomorrow
I too have shifted to Hanna, but save you money on the ammonia - it'll be days to short weeks before its zero

look into the ammonia medallions as it sounds like to are running a QT

Mushrooms are a soft coral; they have no skeletons. Usually when they are really mad, they will let out their insides which are white and stringy. You shouldn't have any ammonia/nitrites that probably where the problem lies.
While the presence of ammonia suggests a very unstable tank, ammonia (and nitrates, nitrates) are literally coral food, so this is not where the problem lies...

"Bleaching" is an often misunderstood term... Likely a mushroom won't actually bleach since it can move itself to a location of lower light if it needs to.

I see, so what do you thinks happening with it? :(
Let's start from the beginning.
1. What kind of coral is actually in the photo? You said it has a skeleton...
2. How many gallons is the tank?
3. what type of filtration?
4. what kind of flow?
5. what light did you used to have and what is the current light?
6. What schedule / intensity are your lights?
7. What other living things are in your tank and how are they doing?

1. I was told it was a mushroom coral, my bad for thinking it had a skeleton
2. 13.5 gallons
3. Upgraded media basket with floss/chemipure elite/then more floss
4. Stock flow on the Fluval Evo, low flow in that area
5. I used to use the stock light but now I have an AI prime 16 HD
6. I use the saxby preset for lighting
7. Many other corals, euphillia, sps, and other soft corals and they all seem happy except for one of my frogspawns I accidentally damaged that’s healing

Ok. So mushrooms can change their appearance depending on lighting and flow... It's difficult to tell from the photos what, if anything, is wrong with it... Do you have a picture of it from before?

Guys I’m so embarrassed but I was reading the ammonia chart wrong, parameters today are:
Ph- 7.8
Alkalinity- 2.68
Nitrite- >1
Nitrate- 1
Ammonia- 0.12
Phosphates- 0.07

she don't have ammonia the test kits are wrong and can never read 0 unless its digital

Do you have fish/snails/crabs in this tank @Salamander-Hime if you do if you had ammonia everything would be dead or show signs of suffering

you have 0 nitrite and 0 ammonia

my test kit is showing i have 8ppm ammonia in my 90 gallon that has been running for 3 years that is stocked with 7-8 fish

1.5ppm in my 1 month old tank that has had a snail in for about 2 weeks

while i had nitrite in my 13.5 i had a nitrate reading of 500+ ppm

you sure you reading the alk right is that 2.68dkh? that seems very low should be 8-10dkh or 145+ppm
