It's a harmless brittle star, it will not get much bigger and considered a beneficial member of the clean up crew.

please if you find anything that your not sure about, come here first for an ID before you remove and kill all the good balancing part of your ecosystem. If your concerned about anything and get the chance to grab it then please bag it and hold of for an answer before giving it the chop : )
Some people do nuke everything that goes into there tank, but i personally believe and alot of others would agree that alot of the good stuff that lives in your tank wont be what youve added intentionally.

This "weird looking creature" is very beneficial, all I can recommend is keep doing research on creatures of the sea , hope you did`t kill it , please read up !! Pretty common animal of the sea.
