Tiny polyps behind clavularia

I bought some nice clavularia 2 days ago. They are open and seem to be doing great. But do you have an idea what are those small things behind them? They are really tiny, about 1mm diameter. I hope the Image is good enough and that im in the right forum.

Sort of looks like an encrusting montipora or something similar trying to get more light.

Ok, thank you! Too bad, they don't look alive ;(
 
Polyps mean the animal is still alive. It’s only dead when there’s all skeleton and no tissue :)
Cool! And i guess you are right. When the light is off less polyps are visible. So there must be life in them. Lets see if it grows:)
