So Im looking to get a skimmer for my new tank. Problem i have is that i only have 18" of play at the moment to place one. In the stand where my sump is it has 18" in height. The sump acrylic is about 3/8". Leaving me with very, very little play. What skimmers do i have to pick from?

What is the total tank volume? And besides height how big of a footprint can you work with?

the sump is a trigger system crystal 30. It takes about 20 Gallons. plus my 65g display. it states that the skimmer/drain section is 11 x 11.5

I had a very similar problem but much less room than you to play with. Ended up getting an eshopps x120 which has a footprint of about 7"x6" and rated for a 75g. Thing is a beast already.
