At first I thought this was the start of coraline algae, but then the thing has been moving. Actually have seen two now near each other.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Now that u say asternia i think i can see legs as well. Good eyes!

Can u get one in a container for a closer pic?

I can try but unlikely because it's so small... it's the size of a the tip of a ballpoint pen. Its gone into hiding since my post so will have to wait until another time to get another photo.

Wondering if it's a baby nudibranch or slug of some sort. Slightly white underbelly and purple on top.

They tend to get mixed reviews. There main diet is benthic microfauna and inconsequential but some have been reported to snack on Zoas. They also have the ability to reproduce rapidly and become unsightly. I generally leave them be until but I don't have any Zoas with silly names to worry about. The likelihood of totally eradicating them are slim to none in the average tank but manual removal can keep the population in check.
