I have a blue dot jawfish with small pin prick sized red dots I noticed on his head. Also small white spots like soars on his belly that sometimes I notice sand gets stuck to.

+1 on Tahoe61's statement, it looks like BSJ disease to me. Time to catch him and set up a hospital tank. Hopefully you've caught it in time and he will make it through the treatment. Good luck!

Ok I set up a 10g earlier today with LR from the DT and used 60/40 DT water and fresh mixed. What can I use to medicate him?? I've been searching with no luck.

This disease is still a big mystery, as symptoms suggest both Brooklynella and a bacterial infection. The fish must be QT/treated if there is any hope for recovery.

In a QT, I would treat with this concoction of medications: Furan-2, Kanaplex and Seachem MetroPlex (or Metro-MS). If you can't find all of that, at least start treating with what you can. Unfortunately, you will also probably have to administer formalin baths. Because this is a "mystery disease", you are basically hitting the fish with everything but the kitchen sink and hoping something works.

Sometimes the above strategy works, sometimes it doesn't. But if you do nothing, prognosis is usually pretty bleak. :(

Very well said! :)

Thanks for the advice. I have noticed it a week ago. He has actually been getting better, a few days ago I thought he was a goner his mouth was fuzzy looking and he was breathing heavy. I started soaking his rods reef mix in vitamins right when I noticed the problem. Now he acts normal and can move very fast when I drop in the food.

Keep us apprised. If the vitamins work, that would strongly suggest BSJF disease is something bacterial in nature. Fish are sometimes able to overcome bacterial infections via their natural immune system. However, not so much when it comes to brook and other serious parasitic infestations.

Just wondering on the meds do I dose all 3 at 1/3 of a dose making up a whole dose or full dose of each?

Full dose of each. There are no known interaction issues.
Thanks again, I caught him after feeding him and grabbed the meds today from a lfs luckily they had all 3.

Edit*
Never mind it was furan 2. But he seems to still be doing ok acting normal no heavy breathing and eats like a champ still.

For the daily water change will 10% after feeding but before the meds do? Or should it be more water?

Are you doing daily WCs to control ammonia? Because for Furan-2, it's 25% every 48 hrs. The other 2 meds don't require WCs during treatment, I believe.

Yes I just read that after I did the wc. I am worried since I'm feeding him rods pacific plankton soaked in vitamins and this tank has been running only 3 days. I guess I should test tomorrow and see if I am been getting any bad measurements. Update on the jawfish he is looking good still has the sores too soon to tell if it is healing. Ate his food after I left the room of course lol he likes the little cave I made him stays hidden most the time peeping out when the coast is clear.

The LR in the QT, how long has it been cycled? Or is it new?

It's cycled and from the DT.

Then the LR should be breaking down the ammonia for you. Usually I don't like seeing meds & LR mixed together, due to absorption. But it's less of an issue with antibiotics than it is with, say, copper. However, the presence of antibiotics may interfere with your test kit (give false positives); so I would get a Seachem ammonia alert badge for active monitoring.

Here is some updated photos of Dotty now he is finally use to being in the hospital tank and our bedroom. He is the most beautiful blue dot I've seen.
He even has blue spots on his fins. Also he is doing good still eating all his food and the white spots stopped looking so open soreish. Ps the one spots by the tail is just the dirty glass on the shot of him facing to the right.
