i got a huge ball of chaeto from a place I bought fish from for my Refugium. I noticed some small red dots and thought nothing about it but they have got worse. Ive got a piece out to inspect it closer and they are really tiny red worms. I have some pics if I can figure out how to post them. What are they and should I be concerned? If so what can I do? I have turned the pump off temp until I find out if they are okay or not.

What cost you $5 for a handful of Chaeto just went up by $18.99... now if you got these little redbugs and they happen to make it up into your Display Tank, chances are you could loose quite a bit more after this is all done. Good Luck and ask "a place" to help you out since they infected you.

Red planeria. A type of flatworm that can take over a tank if not careful

Thanks guys. I figured it out. Luckily it is in my refugium NOT in my main tank. I cut the sump off the second I seen them start to multiply. I will be getting a 6 line wrasse to put in my main tank to make certain. I ordered flatworm eXit and going to dose the heck out of my refugium. Do water change after they are all dead then filter through carbon. Its only a 12 gallon refugium so I should be okay HOPEFULLY!
