I want to get rid of the tiny brittle stars I have all over in my rock. What rays them? I have a harliquin shrimp but he doesn't seem to go for them. Any suggestions would be great. I don't mind a few of them but they are getting out of control. Also I have Christmas tree worms they have taken over their homes and now I only have a few left on my rock because of this starfish :(. Please help

whats up? are they outta control? All my tanks have those and a similar reddish type. IME they are just unintentional CUC. I only every see them when I siphon or just the arms when I dump frozen

Micro brittle stars and reef safe.

I think he's worried mostly due to them taking over the Christmas tree worm rock. Sorry I'm no help with this one

Yes I need a predator, I feed heavily due to the type of inhabitants in my tank and the micro stars are just out of control, I had rock with 10 Christmas tree worms and now it is down to 3 really need to get rid of these guys...

I have never had my small brittle stars hurt anything and they are probably just taking advantage of a new hole when the worm died from some other cause? Never had anything that ate the stars.

I've also been told harlequin shrimp won't touch these. since they are clean up crew you're probably going to have to find a way to reduce what they like to eat.

What about moving the Christmas tree worms to another tank?

Corris wrasse are reef safe and will obliterate these dudes. Had a green corris for years and he never touched my feather dusters just these guys and asterina.
