sold to me as a zoa... got it home and it disappeared. NOT A ZOA! after going missing it showed back up on one of my zoa frags and now looks like this... not a nuisance at all, has not multiplied in over 4 months since ive had it. Doesn't really bother the AOG's either. now i just need a tiny clownfish

I've seen manjano that look identical to that. I've even posted them here. Going to have to search the external hd.

If that's a manjano - its not like any I've encountered...The ones I've run into are not so well formed, usually on a pedestal stalk, with fewer, thick tentacles with bulbous tips or bulges in the tentacles. There's a reef shop where I live that deliberately sells live rock covered with them ostensibly for use in FOWLR tanks. Actually some look pretty nice but I've not seen any that look quite like that photo.

Just woke up, so I just googled myself. LOL

Here is my PPE manjano. I have other color Morphs somewhere ill need to find though.

haha that woudl have to be the teeny-est clownfish ever to host it =P. anyways it looks cool!

I think I have something similar but not exactly the same. It is almost like these are Zoa/Paly mimics. I too believe that they are anemones as they are mobile and do fit the know descriptions of Zoas and Palys. Mine do not spread quickly, do not like bright light in the acro range but do well in mid to low light, generally stay compressed but do have polka dots on the stalks if they extend, which I can find absolutely no evidence of any zoa or paly having. These will eat if spot fed and like an anemone, they stay put once they find a place they like. I am desperately trying to find an ID but please do not respond with Manjano unless you have a link to a very similar looking specimen with believable confirmation on the ID.
