These tiny ( est. 0.1 inch across) creatures with hard shell have multiplied in my 2 year old "fish only" system. Think I should do something before they get out of control. What should I do?

Could be harmless spiorbid worms. Scrape off with credit card or just let them die off over time.These tiny ( est. 0.1 inch across) creatures with hard shell have multiplied in my 2 year old "fish only" system. Think I should do something before they get out of control. What should I do?
