Tipps for over the tank protein skimmer

hello all,
I've recently purchased a instant ocean seaclone 100 skimmer for my 75 gallon tank. I'm just starting up and I know some of the reviews on this skimmer are bad. Well not paying attention to what everybody else is saying, I purchased one. Lead list to say it is a piece of junk. It leaks at the J tube connection on the bottom. Drips every 5 to 10 seconds on my floor. I’ve used Teflon tape to stop it from leaking. But that is definitely not a fix as I’m not sure if it will start leaking again. Returning it. Suggestions on a budget over the tank skimmer for a 75 gallon tank?

Maybe coralife (or aquatop). They're big and ugly, but work. My favorite HOB are the AquaC Remora, but not budget.

The Blue Ocean HOBs are around $70 on Amazon and ebay. They have some bad reviews also, but the one I have works well.

I use the one you have on my 30g QT and it works well for a dry skim on a small tank. But loud and prone to leaks. Mines in a sump, so not an issue.
