Very nice! Can see you thought about the coral shadowing corals below even from the start. What was the time between the first picture and the last?

Thanks ! Got it wet March of 2014 and the last was April of 2017 . I used the rock as framework and tried to foresee growth patterns , well thought out rock work can render a stunning display of corals . Tore the tank down in August and moved across the country .

So many great aquascapes everyone does. Anybody have any better ideas for my scape. This is a view from both sides in wall 180. My intent was to have both ends sloping down like you can see with caves and channels. I have had it this way for a long while but I am up for different ideas. This is the front view.

Maybe move 1 rock to the middle pile thus creating an open area between the middle and the right end. Would make the right stack a second focal point. Your eyes would follow down hill from left to right

Okay, Rockscape in! No water yet. Might be a few changes if I add some live rock. Not clear on if live rock needs to go into the display or just the sump to be beneficial, esp. the coraline algae. Here are pics. Didn't leave a lot of room in front of overflows as I won't be needing to keep those scraped. Will test a couple things in case algae gets bad like the algae scrappers or kitchen scrubbers with a long handle. Think I achieved lots of terraces and coral placement as well as needs for fish. Back glass and sides and front are accessible with siphon tube. There are 2 "foot caps", one on each side I may remove to have more open sand.

Following your thread You should take the center rock out and lower one side of rock and see how it looks , this would draw the eyes when viewing and removing the center rock would give you a sense of depth .

@Streetdoc77 @lapin lol's Got that right. Hole took forever and lots of sweat The purpose of the center rock is to put gsp on it, along with palm cloves to keep them on their own. I love both but not all over the tank . Also planning to put some sort of leather--prob a toadstool or umbrella on top and allow that rock to be sort of the focal point. Might see if I like it without the long flat bottomed pc on the left but was thinking sps's for that spot as it will be closest to lights.

going in a 150 Tall (48x24x30).
tallest point of scape is 29".
I will have no reef or live rock in the tank.

the manufacturers youtube shows "painting" it with a colored liquid plastic, but a smaller scape I tried that on
I didn't like the result.
hoping what isn't covered with coral, coralines up as to be a non issue.

I'm working on a aquascape for my 35 gallon shallow. I don't actually have rock to work with yet, but I use little drawing programs to get a good idea. I'm thinking using a semicircle of rocks on the right and then an algae patch with large rock outcrops in it to the left. Any suggestions?

This is my final scape. Went with a long canyon, one side view and 2 smaller inlets on the other side. There was not enough room for an island pillar as I had originally planned. Trying to place 30 lb pieces of rock thru 16" openings 3 feet down into the tank was not easy. Had to lower them wrapped in a towel. Stacking was more of a challenge. Not much skin left on my fingers. Next time bigger openings so I can fit inside. Now to do something about the sea swirl tubes hanging down. Need to make clear shorter ones.

Here is my attempt at setting up a new tank. I drilled the rock and used fiberglass rods to tie it all together. Tank is 6x2x2 or close to it.

What size tank is that 525 or 750XXL
