Tips for Getting Tangs to Eat Nori

I rubber band some on a pvc pipe attached to fishing line so I can lower it and raise it. All my tangs and foxface use it.

Try this with a frag plug. Just wrap it around the post how ever many times you want. Use an elastic band around the bottom where the post part is. Drop it flat side down in the tank it seems to always land flat with nori facing up. My wrasse loves this idea.

Right! That's what I said haha
Seen the guys at Love The Reef doing it. We all have frag plugs laying around. Might as well put some good use to them and you can set few of them up in different spots in the tank to separate aggression. I have about a foot and a half long plastic grabber. At the end of the day when everyone is sleeping. I go in and grab the empty frag plugs. No one gets stressed out. Have another one ready in the morning and they get to tear at it like a pit bull on a tire.

The sailfin started eating from the clip today. I mixed in some strips yesterday with their frozen food and they got the taste. I appreciate the help. Just got word today they tank will be here in a few weeks. Time to start a build thread.

Sometimes is not the nori itself but the clip is strange to them. Try tying nori to a rock with fishing line or a rubber band.

Old thread--but thanks, totally did the trick. They would not touch it on a clip, on a rock--and quarantined fish are eating well now.
