Tips for gluing close baffles (in sump)

I'm building out my sump and I want to create a bubble trap before the return pump, so I have 3 baffles close together. I was thinking roughly 1" apart, but struggling to silicone both sides of the 2nd and 3rd baffles once the 1st on is in place.

Any tips on how to do that? Do you just silicone one side generously and call it good?

You can do a stripe of silicone where the baffle will go in and then slide the baffle in. You can also find some sort of tube or straw to go over the nozzle to give you a long applicator and to smooth it out a coten ball taped to a stick works well.

Silicone first baffle. Let it dry. put in the next beads of silicone for #2 and then use a couple pieces of 2x4 as spacers. repeat for baffle 3
