My tank has been running for a “year now” and I wanted to try a gonipira again . I got one maybe 4 months into the hobby . Any tips on keeping them alive

What happened to yours? I'm a first-time reefer with a Red Sea Reefer XL 425 running for only 3 months, and have had a goniopora for just over a month and it seems to be thriving, along with all my other 20+ corals. I'm just focused on keeping stable water parameters:

Temp: 78F
Salinity: 1.026
Nitrate: < 2ppm
Phosphate: < .02ppm
Calcium: 420ppm
Alkalinity: 9.0 dKH
PAR: ~ 150-200 on sand bottom

I have both a goniopora and alveopora, both seem very healthy, along with several other LPS and SPS corals all showing good growth. How long did yours last before showing problems?

Get a tank grown frag. They are so hardy now days. I have a couple gonis that do well. Put it in the sand. They seem to prefer some good movement/flow.
When I first started this hobby, wanting a goni, aka flower pot coral, made you a coral killing devil! They are so pretty though!
