Have a 120 being built at 36x36x23. I want to build my own stand with a front cabinet door at 36x36x36.

Need tips and advice on paint, wood, wood thickness, structure to hold the weight! Any and everything! Pictures would be helpful!

I built my stand out of 2x4"s and a couple of 2x6"s, some 1/4" plywood, liquid nails, and screws... I sat down on penciled it on paper about how I wanted it to look.. Then I wrote down all the measurements and went to town.. I used regular non pressure treated lumber from lowes.. Be very picky and get the straightest wood possible... The biggest thing to do is make sure the stand is level..and glue everything together... You can use regular paint and then marine polyurethane to seal it in... Here are some pics of my build.. Also if you can't get it level it would be wise to use some building insulation under your tank to make up for imperfections...
