Hi all. My cube has been running since feb. i have 4 frags as well as about 9 large snails and an emerald crab. I thought i had the algae beat but it has seemed to come back with force so im pretty sure i need to do some biweekly water changes. Anyone have any ither suggestions to help this algae farm clean itself up? Tyvm

that looks like cyano to me and not algae. I would blow it off and try to remove as much as possible manually when you do a water change. You also may want to increase the water flow in your tank - it's hard to tell what you have in there.

With only one powerhead and seeing the way it is aimed, the issue is related to water flow in that corner. Get an additional powerhead and the issue will go away.

Ok good stuff guys ty. As far as the params go my kit is packed up cause im moving the tank next week and my flow blows the sand around bad if i aim it lower. Ill move the head a bit and see what happens. Again ty for the input

I've found with my experience cyano is usually due to low water flow. Try increasing the flow and possibly install a GFO reactor to get rid of its food. U may b feeding too much as well.

This is the thing lol i dont feed at all. Zoas live on the light. Snails and crab live on the growth that forms :/

water parameters probably look great because the cyano is absorbing it...
